Industrial Base for Graduated Enterprises

Over 200 enterprises have graduated from Suzhou Innovation Park, 40 of which purchase land totaling 1600 mu in SND, 50 are applying to purchase land of about 3500 mu. Now, industrial base for graduated enterprises has emerged and has become a important base for new & hi-tech industries, playing an important role in the restructuring of the regional economy, forming of new & hi-tech industrial chain and sustainable development.

Most of the graduated enterprises focused on IT, optical, mechanical and electronic integration, biotech and environmental protection, in accordance with the industrial development direction. Graduated enterprises are of new & hi-tech based and entitled as provincial new & hi-tech enterprises, new & hi-tech products and software companies. Hundreds of projects obtained financial support by scientific bonus at all levels and innovation fund of Ministry of Science and Technology. Technologists now cover 80% of the total stuff.

Enterprises set by overseas Chinese scholars now are playing an important role. In the development pattern of exporting new & hi-tech products, with advanced management system and product technologies, some graduated enterprises set by overseas Chinese scholars such as Jiemei Science & Technology Group and Newway group have been after the latest research results and share world market.

Private scientific enterprises now also represent an important position. Tens of projects were awarded bounty by National Torch Project and such funds.

In the principal of best utilizing land resources, Industrial Park for Overseas Chinese Scholars is being planned. New & hi-tech industry, excellent talents, rational planning and splendid facilities would best promote the industrialization of tenant companies.

Science Town

Based on the natural and topographic features, the 1st phase of the Science Town with R&D Innovation Area, Industrial Area, Science Dormitory now is being planned. Basic development of the first 3 square kilometers would be finished soon. More than 10 national R&D projects would choose to develop here, 5 of which would begin to construct.
