Brief Introduction

China Suzhou Innovation Park is the main title for Suzhou New & Hi-tech Innovation Service Center, Suzhou International Business Incubator and China Suzhou Innovation Park for Overseas Chinese Scholars,which is a non-profit scientific service institute in the purpose of promoting transformation of scientific achievements, nurturing hi-tech enterprises and providing comprehensive services for innovators. Suzhou New & Hi-tech Innovation Service Center was established in 1994, approved as one of the first International Business Incubators by experts of UN Development Planning Department and Industrial Development Organization in 1996, approved as China Suzhou Innovation Park for Overseas Chinese Scholars, by Ministry of Education and Ministry of Science and Technology in 1998. Since its establishment ten years ago, it has been awarded more than 20 national and provincial titles such as Excellent Institute for Overseas Chinese Scholars, Excellent National New & Hi-tech Innovation Service Center. Nearly 800 enterprises have been incubated in the park including more than 300 set by overseas Chinese scholars, totally employed 8000 technologists including more than 500 overseas Doctors and Masters. Nearly 700 hi-tech projects developed here including more than 120 listed in 863 and 973 Project. In recent years, foreign invested enterprises such as Motorola, Canon, ASUS opened their R&D centers here.


Position and Traffic

China Suzhou Innovation Park is located in the center of hinterland of Yangze River Delta, also the center of Suzhou National New & Hi-tech Industrial Development Zone(SND).

SND is a new town featuring industry, commerce, housing and entertainment which is the best place for business and residence.

SND is one of the first four parks open to APEC members.

SND is the first National ISO 14000 Demonstration Area approved by National Environmental Protection Bureau.

 

SND is one of the first Export Processing Bases for New & hi-tech products approved by the Ministry of Science and Technology and Ministry of Commerce.

SND is the first development zone approved to construct National Environmental Protection New & Hi-tech Industrial Park.
